We need over 2,100 volunteers on Sunday, May 17 to ensure a safe and fun day for all. We have opportunities for everyone, even groups: you can greet participants, total donations, cheer on walkers and so much more! Please see our volunteer opportunities below and then CLICK HERE to let us know how you would like to help!
We encourage everyone who participates in AIDS Walk New York to raise funds for the fight against HIV/AIDS. Therefore, we credit all of our volunteers with walking ten kilometers. To assist you with your fundraising efforts, we will create a personal fundraising Web page just for you when you register as a 2009 AIDS Walk Volunteer. You can utilize your personal Web page to send fundraising e-mails to friends and family, track your donations, and get AIDS Walk Volunteer information. Fundraising is certainly not a requirement, but we encourage you to give it a try – if you have questions about online fundraising or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our volunteer coordinator, Leslie Goodykoontz at leslieg@aidswalk.net or by phone at (212) 807-WALK (9255).
